Hi travelers! Welcome to Borobudur. If you need an activity where you can see a beautiful landscape of surrounding Borobudur Temple, learning the traditional way of life of Javanese people and trying to make local things by your own hand. Then, this activity is what exactly you need to book.

Cycling is the best way to explore Borobudur surrounding area. This tour will take you to cycle around Borobudur for approx. 18 KM and take around 3 hours. The route will be varied, it is up and down , passing off road, rice field, hills and villages where you can see local houses look like.

We will begin the tour from outside the main gate of Borobudur Temple. The first spot to visit will be a local market. In this local market, our guide will explain any local products available.

Especially the spices, the main export commodity of Indonesia since from the middle century. The next, we will past the ancient lake in the north of Borobudur Temple. In here, you will notice that in early built, Borobudur Temple was created like Lotus Flower above the water, as a common symbol in Buddhism.

In our trip we will stop in several home industries like Bricks Maker, Tofu Factory, Brown Sugar Maker and also in Pottery Factory. In Pottery Factory, will let you to make your own pottery by your own hand. For sure, these activities will be your unforgettable experience for knowing local wisdom.

Meeting Point :

Main Entrance of Borobudur Temple

Our meeting point will be outside the Main Gate No.1 of Borobudur Temple. It is in the meeting corner between Badrawati Street and Balaputradewa Street. If your hotel is within radius 5 KM from Borobudur Temple, we can manage a pick up service for you for free. But if your hotel is in Yogyakarta City Centre, you have to go to Borobudur by Taxi or any shuttle service.
