If you’ve been to Yogyakarta, you probably have heard about Obelix tourism. It’s basically tourist destinations with ‘Obelix’ name on it. We are going to talk about Obelix Hills, Obelix Sea View, and Obelix Village. A lot of people think that Obelix Hills and Obelix Village are the same.

But they are actually different although they may be designed, created, and developed by the same developer company, All Obelix. So, how is each spot different from the others?

Obelix Hills

As one of Obelix tourism, Obelix Hills was created first. It was meant to be a modern tourist destination where travelers and tourists can enjoy the view of Yogyakarta from a high place. Moreover, the spot was created with the idea that a modern place is possibly established without having to damage the natural surroundings.

Obelix Hills

Not only you can view Yogyakarta from a high place, but you can also enjoy the sunset. The place’s motto is sunset on the rock, which is not excessively made considering that you can actually do it from the top of a hill. The view is spectacular and naturally beautiful.

With the idea of combining man-made tourist object and the natural beauty of Yogyakarta, All Obelix is very confident that they can make a popular spot without harming the surrounding nature. That’s why Obelix Hills is different from the other tourist destinations because it’s established on to of a hill with real stones kept intact.

Besides the sunset, this spot offers 30 different photo spots. You will have to pay for some of them, but the majority is relatively free.
